"Homeownership Workshop smooths out wrinkles"

We want to thank Patience, Blossom, Kehau and all the wonderful people at Hawaiian Community Assets for all their help in getting Alyka into a Hawaiian Homes homestead.

This is the best assistance we have ever found when it comes to credit counseling and working out a plan to repair our credit record. In addition to their one-on-one counseling, they present a Homeownership Workshop that covers a lot of information that most people have to learn the hard way after they have bought a home. There are a lot of things that are good to know in advance, and they cover it all in their workshop. We found out tips and warnings that have already saved us time, money and grief.

Hawaiians who are hoping to qualify for Hawaiian Homes would be doing themselves a favor by checking out HCA at their office at Paukukalo Hawaiian homelands, across from Kamehameha Schools preschool. We worked hard to get into our home, but the work would have been a lot less effective without the strategy sessions and pep talks we got from these great people. They really and truly are Hawaiian community assets!
