Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA) and Hawai`i Community Lending (HCL) sponsor special events throughout the Hawaiian Islands, including FREE workshops, fundraisers, and training sessions. We're dedicated to providing our community with the education and tools necessary to become successful homeowners.

Families First Financial Education Workshop - October 6 and 7, 2009

Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA) and Hawaii First Federal Credit Union are teaming up to hold a "Families First Financial Education Workshop" at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This 2-day event is open to the general public and will train individuals on how to start youth and family financial education programs utilizing local resources. Attendance is $35/person, including free parking and continental breakfast for two days. Special room rates of $149/night are available upon registration.

Home Buyer Education Courses

Hawaiian Community Assets is dedicated to increasing homeownership opportunities for Hawaii's families through home buyer and basic financial management education programs and through one-on-one counseling in credit repair, debt reduction, saving for down payment and closing costs.

FREE home buyer education courses are offered throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Workshops cover the following topics: Are you ready to buy a home?, Managing Your Money, Understanding Credit, Getting a Mortgage Loan, Shopping for a Home, Keeping Your Home and Managing Your Finances.
